About this course:
Elastic bands and free weights are common modes of resistance exercise. They are used in virtually every therapy setting and frequently in patient home exercise programs. This one and one half hour intermediate level course for PT/PTAs and OT/OTAs is part of a series of Accelerated Clinical Practice courses. Through a combination of lecture and lab demonstration this course provides the attention necessary for clinicians to understand how to apply optimal progressive resistance exercise (PRE) protocols using elastic bands and other tools to geriatric patients in a safe, efficacious, and time-efficient manner.
