Amanda received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Communication Sciences & Disorders, as well as her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Baylor University. She currently serves as a Clinical Program Consultant for ACP as of June 2021.
She has worked in many settings including schools, private practice pediatrics, skilled nursing, outpatient hospital, and acute care. Amanda holds certifications and competencies in MDTP, Speak Out, NMES, sEMG biofeedback for dysphagia, and MBSimp.
She is a member of the ASHA Special Interest Group 13, Dysphagia Research Society, MedSLP Collective, ASHA STEP mentor program, and California Speech Language Hearing Association. ASHA recognized her passion for continued learning with an ACE (Award for Continuing Education) in 2021. Amanda has always enjoyed continuous learning and sharing evidence base practice with the “P” (patient values) being the forefront of her treatment.
