Dysphagia AdvancedA comprehensive understanding of swallowing kinematics includes adequate consideration of the oral phase. This course reviews the anatomy and physiology of the oral phase of swallowing. Furthermore, this course discusses evidence-based assessment, research, and therapeutic interventions, including that of surface electromyography (sEMG) relating to the oral phase of swallowing.

Myths Surrounding Dysphagia
Dysphagia AdvancedThis course is offered for ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level, Professional area). This intermediate level course for SLPs provides overview of common myths surrounding swallowing, dysphagia rehabilitation, and the scientific basis for therapeutic interventions. The course also includes practical successful application of surface EMG and provides participants an opportunity for a question and answer session.
