This one hour intermediate level course for PT/PTAs and OT/OTAs is part of a series of Accelerated Clinical Practice courses. Through instruction and lab, this course provides the essential information to understand how to assess and incorporate spirometry into breathing exercise within an evidence-based pulmonary rehabilitation program.

Pharmacology and Dysphagia

Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) are experts in the evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders. Although this area of practice constitutes the majority of medical SLPs’ caseload, formal education is minimal. One area that is often overlooked is pharmacology.
