About this course:

This one hour intermediate level course for SLPs on the use of surface electromyography (sEMG) in dysphagia assessment and interventions is part of a series of Accelerated Clinical Practice courses. The course reviews sEMG data analysis for typical swallow, effortful swallow, and tongue against resistance exercises. Also, discusses sEMG case studies, documentation, and infection control as practical components in dysphagia rehab program.

This intermediate level course for SLPs provides overview of common myths surrounding swallowing, dysphagia rehabilitation, and the scientific basis for therapeutic interventions. The course also includes practical successful application of surface EMG and provides participants an opportunity for a question and answer session.
