Notre Dame’s Dexter Williams did his pre-combine training at IMG's NFL Combine Program. Dexter Williams followed up on his 6.3 yard per carry season by showing off his athleticism at the 2019 NFL Combine. Among running backs Williams tied for 1st place in the broad jump, 2nd in the 30-yard shuttle and 3rd in the 3-Cone drill. His NFL Grade of 5.8 was tied for 4th out of 28 running backs invites.
ACP and IMG Academy - Sports Rehabilitation
Since 1978, some of the most elite high school, collegiate athletes, professional athletes and teams in the world train at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The road to becoming a champion may start on the field or court, but there is much more involved along the way. Athletes at IMG have access to resources such as nutritionists, physical therapists, coaches, mental trainers, and more. IMG’s Athletic training staff, and the Physical Therapy Department staffed by John Hopkins Medicine, use Accelerated Care Plus (ACP) equipment, clinical protocols and treatment pathways. ACP Sports Rehabilitation provides IMG Academy training rooms with the same medical technology and advanced therapy programs that professional athletic trainers and therapists rely on in many college and pro sports teams, including those in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and MLS. ACP Sports Rehabilitation Protocols incorporate advanced biophysical agents (Electrical Stimulation, Ultrasound, Light Therapy and Short Wave Diathermy) to help athletes recover faster from their injuries and return to competition. Notable professional athletes that have trained at IMG include: Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Martina Hingis, Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, Manti Te’o, Jimmy Butler, Iman Shumpert, Maurice Harkless, Paula Creamer, Kei Nishikori, and Jozy Altidore. 2019 has been a great success for a number of IMG programs. IMG Academy’s basketball team won the National Championship and Shintaro Mochizuki prevailed as the Wimbledon Boys’ Grand Slam Champion. The Acsenders’ Baseball team also clinched a National Championship this year, adding to their history of success which has produced 40 MLB first-round draft picks, including four #1 overall picks.
