New Exercise Programs

The OmniVR®'s new software update includes three new engaging exercise programs.

Bingo Program

Bingo

This exercise focuses on "sit-to-stand" transfer training, lower extremity range of motion, strength of the leg extensors and flexors, and cognition. While seated, patients practice sit-to-stand transfer exercises in response to repetitive screen-based visual cues. Movement can vary from a partial to full sit-to-stand exercise. With greater difficulty the exercise becomes harder, requiring more motion, greater visual acuity and discrimination.

Picnic Program

Picnic

This exercise focuses on knee range of motion, strength of the leg extensors and flexors, and cognition. While seated, patients extend and flex their knee in a variety of hip abduction and adduction positions to react to repetitive screen-based visual cues. Exercise ROM, duration and difficulty can be adjusted per patient.

Stop the Wolf Program

Stop the Wolf

This exercise trains forward and backward gait skills, standing balance reaction time, lower extremity strength, and cognition. In standing, the patient steps forward and backward at various distances and speeds in response to repetitive screen-based visual cues, to block the "wolf" from getting the "sheep." With increased difficulty the exercise becomes harder, requiring greater visual acuity and discrimination.
