The extensive education and training provided by ACP is CEU approved in most
states for Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers.
On average, this training provides up to 26 credits and an annual savings of
more than $500 per therapist. ACP’s educational modules can also be applied to
PAM Certification for Occupational Therapists. ACP’s on-going education,
training and mentoring also insures that therapists are continually challenged
and learning new skill sets to create a more enriching therapy setting - a
proven advantage with therapist recruitment and retention efforts.
ACP
currently employs over 150 licensed Clinicians throughout the U.S. that provide
its CEU approved education for partnering facilities. Training is conducted
"on-site" following a consistent, standardized approach that builds core
competency and best practice standards. On-site training in small group settings
is critical in this educational process and provides an opportunity for ACP’s
Clinical Program Managers (CPMs) and therapists to work side-by-side for
hands-on learning. This approach enhances therapist comfort and the ability to
initiate treatment programs with patients immediately. Following initial program
implementation, CPMs are on-site regularly to answer questions, assist with
treatment plans and provide practice management consultation. When CPMs are not
on-site, they are available via email and phone for questions and ongoing
mentoring.
ACP’s Physical Agent Modality training provides advanced
applications for Ultrasound, Electrotherapy, Patterned Electrical Neuromuscular
Stimulation, Shortwave Diathermy and Infrared Therapies, as well as proper
indications, contraindications, warnings and precautions for therapeutic
modality interventions as they relate to geriatric rehabilitation.
Each
of ACP’s "Clinical Solutions" address relevant patient evaluation, disease
pathology, anatomy, physiology, mechanism of action, clinical pathways and
interdisciplinary coordination of treatment services for a variety of
neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. The programs also provides relevant
background on AHRQ Guidelines, CMS Program Memoranda proper CPT Codes, treatment
plans, caseload development, reimbursement, documentation and compliance
requirements.
